Campaign planning in the capacitated lot-sizing problem with linked lot sizes and backorders
-
In this thesis, an established approach was applied and adapted to the requirements of a specific production process. In addition, a campaign planning approach with a discrete time horizon was developed, which uses the CLSP-L-B as its basic model and includes minimum and maximum campaign lengths and fixed batch sizes. Moreover, it was determined that a campaign begins and ends with a setup. Apart from that, two new batch size constraints were proposed. Lastly, shelf life constraints were integrated into the campaign planning approach and the outcome was evaluated. The performance of the proposed formulation was tested with a data set from the tablet production.
